THE ARIANNE BONNET

Since the very first time I started to learn crochet baby items are always be my favorite. I have two kids at home and these days my eldest is just too kind to help me with modelling. The inspirations mostly come from them. So that's why most of my creations are identical to baby themes :D.

This one is called The Arianne bonnet. Bonnet isn't too popular in my place but for me it is just too cute for baby even toddler. I made one for my little girl a few weeks ago. This bonnet is very easy to make, but since I use lacy pattern for it's side part, I recommend this pattern for an advance beginner. But don't worry, if you're totally beginner, you can ask me anything trough comment box and I will be always available for any help. :)

I provide one size (newborn only) variations in this post. But if you want to get it in complete size variations (newborn, 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years), it is available in PDF version in affordable price my Etsy Shop. Full Version - Paid Pattern.

But in case you want to get the PDF version for FREE, just please don't be hesitate to let me know. Go to my facebook page then write on the comment box that you want it, the pattern will be sent to your inbox. This offer is available in limited time, so join it now! Click on Full Version - Free Pattern to join!

Well, here is the pattern for newborn size. Enjoy!

NOTES
You have to be able to master the special stitches (below the note section) before starting the project
The project is started from crocheting the “back part” to the “side part” of the bonnet.
The back part section is crocheted in round, and the side part section is crocheted in row.
When it says crochet in “chain space” you have to crochet in space between two stitches, not inside the chain itself.

SPECIAL STITCHES
You will crochet these stitches when working on “side part” section. Please make sure that you are already able to crochet or at least understand how to crochet these special stitches before starting the project.

MoS – Modified Shell Sitch
Insert your hook into a stitch or chain space, crochet (DC – CH 1) 5 times, then add 1 more DC, all in the same stitch or chain space. You will do this MoS in a stitch when crocheting the first row of “side part” section. For the second row and up you will do it in the chain (CH 3) space.

V – V Stitch
Insert your hook into a stitch or chain space, crochet (SC – CH 3 – SC) all in that same stitch  or chain space. You will start crochet this V stitch from the 2nd row up to the end of the ‘side part’ section.

DV – Double V Stitch
Insert your hook into a chain (CH 3) space, crochet (2 DC – CH 3 – 2 DC) all in that one space. You will start crochet this DV from the second row up to the end of the ‘”side part” section.

Lady Rose Girl Beret - Free Easy Pattern

Hi all of you crochet folks!

It has been a year since my last post on this blog. This year will be a little bit different. I have decided that this year will be more productive, more ideas, more products, more patterns and more posts and… this post is my first attempt to start.

So, in this post I would love to share you my love to crochet through this pattern of my Super Easy Girl Beret. It is an easy beginner pattern that needs just some basic stitches to understand. You will only work with Double Crochet and Slip Stitch all the way along. So it is going to be fun especially for you the beginners!

But please note,
Please note, that even though it is a free pattern, and very easy to make, I wish that you are willing to use it wisely. It took me lot of time and mind to do the project, take some photos and edit them, write the pattern and post it here. So please, if you want to share this pattern please directly share the link of this post, please do not copy paste the pattern elsewhere and claim it as your own, do not share the pattern in another form such as screenshot or compiling the step by step photos in this post into pictorial, and do not take any photos in this post for commercial interest. If you would like to sell finished item made from this pattern, make one of your own and promote by using your own works photos and please credit the design to Luqy & Mary Yarn Works by providing a link to this blog. Thank you so much for being respectful to someone else’s works.

Also,
Also make sure to follow me on my Instagram for new pattern release, like my Fan Page for blog post sneak peeks, and creative inspirations and ideas on Pinterest.

Now, let’s have fun!

53.5 cm – Woman 19 years +

GAUGE:
3 rows x 4 stitches in Double Crochet = 3 cm x 3 cm

SUPPLIES:
5.5 mm US I/9 or JP 9/0 and 6.5 mm US J/10 or JP 10/0 crochet hook
150 m [125 m / 50 gr] Fine weight (Baby, 5 Ply) Cotton Yarn in Red
2 pcs of wood buttons (optional)
Tapestry needle
Stitch Marker
Scissors
*) I used the bigger hook size for smaller yarn to create “mesh look” texture. If you want the solid one, change your yarn to DK or Worsted, also you can choose the color of your own.

STITCHES:
CH – Chain
DC – Double Crochet
DC2tog – Double Crochet 2 together
SS – Slip Stitch

NOTES:
1. This pattern is written in American standard crochet terms.
2. The item is made from top to bottom.
3. This pattern is made for Teen Size, changes for others size are in “[ ]” according to the order of its writing. For example, you find 10 [8, 8, 10] and the order of writing is Teen [Toddler, Child, Woman] so it means 10 for teen size, the first 8 for toddler size, the second 8 for child size, and 10 for woman size.
4. When in particular round you find that the other size numbers are no longer available inside the “[ ]”, it means that your work has ended up on that round.
5. Unless it is stated, chain 2 in the beginning of round doesn’t count as 1 double crochet, so always close the round by doing slip stitch.

Sunflower Granny Square

I can share the pattern for free!

Keep in touch dengan follow instagram dan pinterest saya!

Crochet Cable Beanie Written Pattern

I crocheted this beanie for my husband due to his official trip this month. It must be chilly during the winter so I choose Cable Stitch to create a chunky textured hat. It took me almost 2 weeks to get it done before I almost gave up!

I had been crocheting for almost two years but had never been deal with this Cable Stitch, so it was a really great achivement for the first time trial yeaay! Thanks to Little Monkeys Designs channel for the very easy and clear tutorial of the Cable Stitch Crochet.

I had no plan to write the pattern until I decided to post it to a crochet group where some members then asked me for pattern. The good news is here I gladly write the pattern for all of them, and the bad one is it is definitely just "written pattern" no step by step picture. Sorry for that but I will try to do my best!

Materials:
5.00 mm or 8/0 crochet hook
Worsted weight Cotton Acrylic Yarn in 2 different colours
Tapestry needle
Scissors

Size:
Head circumference 54 cm
(Adult size)

Gauge:
4 rows & 6 stitches in DC = 4 cm

SC13tog - Single Crochet 13 Together
HDC - Half Double Crochet
DC - Double Crochet
TRC - Treble Crochet
DTRC - Double Treble Crochet
FPDC - Front Post Double Crochet
BPDC - Back Post Double Crochet

Notices:
1. You may sell your finished item made from this pattern but please do not re-share or claim my pattern as your own. If you would like to share please directly share the link of this post.
2. Paid pattern of somewhat similar hat is available at Inventorium Etsy Shop. This written pattern by me may has some differences in the stitches, method, as well as the final works.

Notes:
1. This hat is crochet from the bottom to top.
2. Foundation chain must be multiple of 11 (9 chains for 9 cable strands, 2 chains for space between two cables).

Tips:
This pattern may applicable for any size as long as you apply these instructions,
1. Determine the head circumference.
2. Make foundation of 11 or 8 (Toddler size) chains, and it has to be as long as or close to the head circumference. One or two chains longer or shorter is acceptable. It can be adjusted by crocheting a little bit tightly or loosely / decreasing or increasing the gauge.

Lets Start!

BRIM
Chain 88, SS to the initial chain, do not twist the chain.
Row 1: CH2, DC in the same stitch, DC in each of the next stitch, SS to the first DC. (88)
Row 2: CH2, *FPDC to the first DC, BPDC to the next stitch**, repeat from * to ** all around, SS to the first FPDC. (88)
Row 3-5: Repeat row 2. (88)

BODY
Special note: I highly recommend you to learn this VIDEO before starting this section. It will teach you very quickly to master Cable Stitch Crochet!
Row 6: CH2, *FPDC in each of the next 9 stitches, DC in each of the next 2 stitches**, repeat *to** all around, SS to first FPDC. (88)
Special note: FPDC in this row will be numbered as 1st to 9th in row from the beginning of the row.
Row 7: CH2, *skip the 1st, to 3rd stitches, FPDTRC to the 4th to 6th stitches, FPDTRC to the 1st to 3rd stitches, FPTRC to the 7th to 9th stitches, SC in each of the next 2 stitches**, repeat from *to** all around, SS to the first FPDTRC. (88)
Row 8: CH2, HDC in the same stitch, HDC in each of the next stitches, all around, SS to the first HDC. (88)
Row 9: CH2, *FPTRC to the 1st to 3rd FPDTRC of row 7, skip 4th to 6th stitches of row 7, FPDTRC to 7th to 9th stitches of row 7, FPDTRC to the first 4th to 6th stitches of row 7 (do it backside), SC to the next 2 HDC of row 8, SS to the first FPTRC. (88)
Row 10: Repeat row 8.
Row 11-14: Repeat row 7-10.
Row 15-18: Repeat row 7-10.
I add 2 more rows (same as row 7-8) to make the beanie higher, but 18 rows is already quite enough.

PEAK
This is the decreasing section. We decrease 2 strands into 1 in each row. Decreasing point is underlined.
Special note: I don't use any pattern or tutorial in this section but I think this VIDEO will be helpful.
Row 19: CH2, *FPDTRC to the 4th to 6th stitches of row 17, FPDTRC to the 1st to 3rd stitches of row 17, FPTRC together the 7th and 8th stitches of row 17, FPTRC the 9th stitch of row 17, SC to the next 2 HDC stitches of row 18**, repeat *to** all around, SS to the first FPDTRC. Now the cable consist of 8 strands. (80)
Row 20: Repeat row 8.
Row 21: CH2, *FPTRC to the 1th to 3rd stitch, FPDTRC the 7th to 8th stitches of row 19, (do it trough backside) FPDTRC to the 4th stitch, FPDTRC together the 5th to 6th stitches of row 19, SC to the next 2 HDC stitches of row 20**, repeat from *to** all around, SS to the first FPTRC.
